Cairo-- CEO of General Commission for Audiovisual Media Esra Assery stressed the importance of the role of women in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their contribution to the process of realizing the targets of the Saudi Vision 2030, which led to a progress in the women's share indicators in the labor market out of the total workforce to 38% and jumped on the World Bank's Women, Business and Law by 80 points out of 100 over the past two years.

During her participation in the CEO Women Conference, which was held in Egypt under the patronage of Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Assery noted that such pioneering conferences at the level of the Middle East have an important role in looking for solutions and opportunities and contribute to exchanging expertise and experiments and overcoming obstacles and challenges that face the present and future of Arab and African women to enhance their roles in the development of their countries.

She also noted that Saudi women assume several leadership posts in many sectors and have greatly contributed to the Saudi development process, pointing out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is full of women efficiencies in the media sector, who represented their country at the best form in the fields of press, radio and television.

The CEO noted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has also granted women all means of empowerment and prepared enabling policies and regulations, saying: "It is important for us as a commission regulating the sector to seek, with our partners, to guarantee the best application of these regulations and measuring the impact, efficiency, continuous development and cooperation with journalists commission and media association to grant women a bigger opportunity for representation and membership."

She noted that the commission works with partners in the media sector through two courses, the first is related to improving the stereotype of women in the media content through content constraints derived from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's media policy and the second is concerned with finding several jobs for women at all levels of media.

The CEO suggested exerting more efforts to show women in non-stereotype positions, such as calling on public, private and third sectors to highlight successful images of women working in all fields.

The conference, which included five sessions, aimed at enhancing the entrepreneur status that women reached in various economic and investment sectors and encouraging them to excel in all fields.
