Riyadh: The AlFursan Endurance AlUla 2026 championship began today in AlUla Governorate, featuring the prestigious CEI3 competition as the event's centerpiece. This race showcases elite riders from both the Kingdom and abroad on internationally accredited courses designed to meet the highest technical and organizational standards. According to Saudi Press Agency, today's event included a challenging 160-kilometer course with 95 riders competing. The course is designed to simulate the demands of upcoming world championships and includes newly developed routes. Advanced organizational and medical technologies have been implemented to enhance race efficiency and safety, aligning the event with global best practices in endurance riding. The championship is organized in collaboration with the Royal Commission for AlUla and the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation, and it is part of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports's calendar. This partnership highlights AlUla's growing reputation as an internati onal destination for equestrian events. The CEI3 race is one of the longest and most demanding categories in the championship, with a comprehensive system covering organizational, technical, and medical aspects to ensure participant safety and maintain the integrity of the competition.
