Border Guard Directorate Showcases Maritime Safety Equipment at Camel Festival

Riyadh: The General Directorate of Border Guard showcased a variety of maritime safety equipment at the Ministry of Interior’s Security Oasis exhibition, held as part of the 10th King Abdulaziz Camel Festival. The display aimed to highlight equipment designed to enhance personal safety and strengthen emergency preparedness during sailing and diving activities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, visitors were introduced to several advanced systems and devices, including distress signal boxes, Electronic Rescue and Location System (ENOS), man-overboard alert devices (MOB/AIS-MOB), the Automatic Identification System (AIS), and technical diving helmets. These technologies play a vital role in supporting search and rescue operations, enabling precise location tracking, and reducing maritime risks.

The initiative reflects the Border Guard’s commitment to promoting maritime safety awareness and emphasizes the importance of adhering to security guidelines during sea voyages, contributing to the protection of lives and the enhancement of safety in coastal and marine environments.
