Bisha: Bisha Governorate launched today its accompanying events for the Dakar Rally Saudi Arabia 2026, as part of the organizational and entertainment preparations for the global event.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the event featured performances by folk groups representing local culture and heritage, presenting artistic segments inspired by Bisha's cultural legacy. Activities also included pavilions for government entities, as well as booths for artisans supported by the Heritage Commission to promote handicrafts and showcase local cultural heritage. In addition, designated seating areas were provided for visitors, contributing to a comprehensive and comfortable experience for attendees.
The race is being held for the seventh consecutive year in the Kingdom from January 3 to 17. It includes 812 competitors, including 39 female participants, representing 69 nationalities from around the world. Competitors are racing across 433 vehicles distributed among the rally's various categories, covering a total distance of 7,994 kilometers, including 4,840 kilometers of timed special stages.
