Manama-- The Kingdom of Bahrain has welcomed the announcement of Yemeni President Abd-Rabbo Mansour Hadi, to establish the Presidential Leadership Council to proceed with the duties of the transitional period, and delegating the council with all powers of the president of the republic according to the constitution and the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanisms.

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Bahrain's full support for the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council to continue the efforts and duties entrusted to the Council to manage state affairs, proceed with the duties of the transitional period, achieve the aspirations of the Yemeni people for security, stability and development, and end the Yemeni crisis through a comprehensive political solution between the Yemeni parties to achieve peace, development and prosperity for Yemen and its people.
