Average Fuel Prices Surge in the United States Ahead of Elections

Washington:Average gasoline and diesel prices have reached high levels in the United States, according to data from the American Automobile Association (AAA).

The AAA data indicates that the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline currently stands at $3.472. Diesel prices, which are crucial for sectors ranging from agriculture and heavy industry to shipping, have also seen an increase, averaging $4.343 a gallon. It is noted that US diesel prices previously hit a record high of $6.523 a gallon on September 22.
