According to Saudi Press Agency, progress in the sector is driven by initiatives led by the Roads General Authority. These include recycling construction waste for road paving and adopting advanced engineering solutions for logistics routes.

In a global first, recycled demolition waste was used in asphalt mixes in Al-Ahsa Governorate, marking a pioneering step toward sustainable construction. This initiative reduces carbon emissions and supports more efficient use of resources.

The sector has also introduced compacted concrete technology for the first time in the Kingdom. This enhances the durability and lifespan of truck lanes along logistics corridors while improving environmental and economic efficiency.
