Atlanta Stadium Architectural Masterpiece Hosts Saudi Arabia vs Spain World Cup Match

Riyadh: Atlanta Stadium (Mercedes-Benz Stadium) in Atlanta, Georgia, opened in 2017 and home to the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United, will host Saudi Arabia's FIFA World Cup 2026 Group H match against Spain on Sunday in one of the group's standout fixtures.

According to Saudi Press Agency, with a World Cup capacity of 68,239 spectators, the stadium is renowned for its retractable roof and iconic 360-degree Halo Board, making it one of the most technologically advanced venues in the United States. It is also the world's first professional sports stadium to earn LEED Platinum certification for sustainability.

The stadium has hosted major events such as Super Bowl LIII, the 2018 MLS Cup Final, Copa Am©rica 2024, and the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. During FIFA World Cup 2026, it is operating under the name Atlanta Stadium and will host eight matches, including a semifinal.
