‘Assas’ Reconnaissance Aircraft Featured at Ministry of Interior Pavilion at World Defense Show 2026

Riyadh: The General Directorate of Border Guard is showcasing the multi-mission 'Assas' fixed-wing aircraft at the Ministry of Interior pavilion during the World Defense Show 2026, held from February 8 to 12. The aircraft is designed to support surveillance, reconnaissance, and field response operations in border and vital areas.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the aircraft is equipped with smart analytics systems that enable object detection, tracking, and data analysis, along with sensor systems fitted with high-resolution daytime cameras, thermal imaging, and multiple sensors for night surveillance and target detection in harsh environmental conditions.

The fixed-wing aircraft provides live transmission of images and data to the command center, with the capability to pre-plan flight paths and execute missions, support field patrols, monitor emergency situations, and operate advanced navigation systems that allow automatic return to the takeoff point in case of signal loss or low power.
