Riyadh: The fourth edition of the Designathon challenge is scheduled to launch tomorrow, organized by the Architecture and Design Commission in Riyadh. It will run until January 31 to leverage design and innovate sustainable solutions that improve the quality of life.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the fourth edition will witness broad participation from creatives and those interested in presenting design solutions to contemporary societal challenges across various disciplines and fields. More than 35 experts will provide support and supervision for the participating creative works.

The commission has allocated a total of SAR525,000 in cash prizes, distributed among nine winning teams. This edition of the Designathon continues the successes of previous editions. Notably, the third edition in 2025 achieved a national milestone by being registered in Guinness World Records as the largest design hackathon globally in terms of the number of participants, reflecting the growing interest in the challenge among creatives and those interested in the sector.
