Riyadh: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has highlighted the architectural features of the Holy Kaaba’s roof, which is designed to the highest international standards.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the roof comprises several key components, including the Holy Kaaba’s Kiswa (cover) holder, the walls, the roof door, and the Mizrab (water spout). Covering 145 square meters, its surface is clad in Thassos marble, known for its light and heat reflective properties.
The authority reaffirmed its commitment to excellence, emphasizing the use of advanced technology and high-quality materials throughout the Grand Mosque. This initiative reflects the Kingdom’s leadership’s ongoing support in serving pilgrims and enhancing their experience at the holy site.
