Riyadh: President of the Arab Parliament Mohammed Al-Yamahi affirmed that youth are the most valuable asset of nations and a key pillar of development, emphasizing that investing in their abilities, education, and empowerment is a true investment in the future of societies.
According to Saudi Press Agency, in a statement marking World Youth Day, observed annually on August 12, Al-Yamahi called for continued support and empowerment of Arab youth as a driving force for development and progress across the Arab world. He highlighted the region's wealth of talents, skills, and capabilities that can drive creativity and positive change.
He explained that the rapid changes taking place around the world, particularly in areas such as technological advancement, artificial intelligence, changes in job markets, and economic crises, require preparing an Arab generation equipped with knowledge, digital skills, critical thinking, and the ability to innovate and adapt. He also praised young Arabs who have demonstrated their ability to represent their countries effectively at international events, showcasing the capabilities of Arab youth and their ability to compete and excel globally.
