Arab League Chief Denounces Assault on Khartoum International Airport

Riyadh: Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned the attack that targeted several locations in Khartoum State, including Khartoum International Airport. In a statement, he affirmed that targeting civilian facilities and vital infrastructure constitutes a dangerous escalation and a threat to regional peace and security, particularly as the attacks originated from outside Sudanese territory.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Aboul Gheit emphasized the Arab League's full solidarity with Sudan in preserving its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, warning that such actions could widen the conflict and undermine de-escalation efforts. He also called for refraining from any actions that could obstruct regional and international efforts to achieve a ceasefire.
