The authority for the care of people with disabilities (apd) has announced the launch of the sixth edition of the purple saturday initiative:ector businesses by adopting measures that improve accessibility across stores, facilities, and services.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Purple Saturday was first launched by the authority in Saudi Arabia in 2021 and has been held annually ever since. As part of its efforts to celebrate best practices, APD has introduced the Purple Saturday Awards, designed to recognize entities and individuals that have made significant contributions to furthering its mission of empowering persons with disabilities.
