AlTokhais Presents Credentials as Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Delegate to UNESCO

Paris: Dr. Abdulelah AlTokhais has presented his credentials as Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Delegate to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to its Director-General Audrey Azoulay at UNESCO’s headquarters in Paris.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the meeting, they discussed the strong relationship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and UNESCO, highlighting the Kingdom’s support for various projects and programs through its active membership on UNESCO’s Executive Board and the World Heritage Committee.

AlTokhais emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration with UNESCO across all fields and enhancing ties with member states to promote peace and mutual understanding among nations and cultures, in line with UNESCO’s mandates.

AlTokhais brings extensive national and international expertise, specializing in natural and cultural heritage, planning, policies and legislation, tourism, and development. He also has broad experience working with international organizations and across the public, private, and non-profit sectors. AlTokhais holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Florida, USA.
