Riyadh: Al-Yanfa Heritage Village, located around 40 kilometers southwest of Abha, stands as one of the most significant tourism and cultural sites in the Aseer Region, boasting a rich cultural legacy that spans over 3,000 years. The village's unique architectural style is a testament to the region's social and economic life throughout the ages.

According to Saudi Press Agency, heritage architecture researcher Ali Al-Shahrani highlighted that Al-Yanfa Heritage Village serves as an integrated model of traditional architecture. The village is known for its multi-story stone buildings, historical pathways, and squares. Its name, derived from the term "Al-Naf'a," echoes the values of cooperation and collective work that have been integral to village life for generations.

The village is home to approximately 460 heritage houses and multi-story palaces constructed with local stone, clay, and timber. It also features over 70 ancient wells, an intricate network of underground water channels, agricultural terraces, grain storage chambers, an old mosque dating back to 105 AH, and five additional historical mosques.

Visitors can explore the village until August 31, 2026, as part of a 68-day program filled with cultural events, folk performances, handicrafts, and traditional markets. The Aseer Development Authority anticipates over 55,000 visitors during the current season, eager to experience the village's rich historical and cultural offerings.
