Al-Wadiah Border Crossing Accelerates Entry Procedures for Yemeni Pilgrims

Riyadh: Integrated services and modern technologies at Al-Wadiah Border Crossing helped complete entry procedures for pilgrims arriving from the Republic of Yemen quickly and smoothly, as the agencies operating there worked in an organized manner.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the pilgrims' journey begins at the Health Control Center, which provides health and preventive services, distributes awareness publications, and provides the necessary medicines and vaccines. Pilgrims then head to passport control, where their entry procedures are completed within minutes thanks to advanced equipment and the efficiency of staff. Customs authorities at the crossing have designated lanes for pilgrims' buses and use X-ray screening to speed up procedures. The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) also contributes to supporting operational procedures and improving the efficiency of digital services provided to pilgrims.

Relevant agencies also provide awareness, emergency medical, and humanitarian services to pilgrims, along with hospitality and reception services at Pilgrims City in Al-Wadiah until they depart for the holy sites.
