Al-Safa Park in Najran Offers Green Escape, Enhances Quality of Life

Riyadh: Al-Safa Park, located on the western side of Najran, has become one of the region's leading recreational destinations, offering residents and visitors a natural setting surrounded by mountains throughout the year.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the park covers 109,662 square meters and features approximately 56,513 square meters of green space, housing more than 1,200 trees, shrubs, and palm trees. This reflects Najran Municipality's efforts to expand vegetation cover and promote environmental sustainability.

The park includes four children's play areas, outdoor fitness equipment, and 203 decorative lighting poles that enhance its appearance while providing a safe environment for visitors at night. Its facilities also include pedestrian walkways covering 40,760 square meters, service amenities, restrooms, a community center, two additional children's playgrounds, a waterfall, and four shaded family seating areas.

Najran Municipality spokesperson Abdullah Al-Fadel stated that the municipality places significant emphasis on developing public parks and gardens as part of its efforts to improve the urban landscape and enhance the quality of life. He mentioned that the municipality aims to create integrated recreational destinations that meet residents' needs and provide safe and attractive public spaces.

He further noted that Al-Safa Park has become a distinctive tourism and leisure destination in Najran due to its natural features and modern facilities. Al-Fadel emphasized the municipality's commitment to maintaining and further developing the park. He also urged visitors to help preserve the park's environmental and aesthetic assets to ensure their sustainability for future generations.
