Jeddah: Al-Muqtani, a featured section at the second edition of the Islamic Arts Biennale, offers a rare glimpse into the world of art collecting and antiquities. Held under the theme “And All That Is In Between” at the Western Hajj Terminal of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, the exhibition celebrates the passion for acquiring and preserving artistic heritage while showcasing the finest aesthetics of Islamic art.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the section features masterpieces from the esteemed Al Thani and Al Furusiyya collections, underscoring the role of collectors in safeguarding Islamic heritage. The Al Thani Collection is renowned for its jeweled works and intricate craftsmanship, while the Al Furusiyya Collection, owned by Rifaat Sheikh El Ard, highlights exquisite metalwork and artifacts linked to Islamic equestrian traditions.
