Makkah: The Makkah crafts exhibition celebrates the region’s traditional crafts and cultural heritage as part of the Handicrafts Conference organized by Umm Al-Qura University, aiming to support heritage preservation and highlight the contributions of artisans.

According to Saudi Press Agency, visitors can explore Makkah’s cultural identity through a variety of crafts, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which emphasizes strengthening national identity and promoting creative industries.

One of the standout items is Al-Masadda’ Al-Hijazi, a traditional garment that symbolizes the history of the people of Makkah and Taif. Made from lightweight fabrics and adorned with intricate embroidery, it has been a staple at social gatherings for decades.

Today, Al-Masadda’ Al-Hijazi stands as a testament to the rich social heritage, symbolizing a history that connects the past and present.
