Al-Kharj Park Combines Recreation, Education, and Nature Conservation

Al-kharj: Al-Kharj Municipality has inaugurated Al-Kharj Park, covering over two million square meters in an open wilderness area. This initiative seeks to balance tourism with environmental conservation, ensuring the ecosystem remains intact. According to Saudi Press Agency, the park is designed to blend with the natural landscape and includes sections catering to various community needs. Highlights include a winter camping area with restaurants, family stalls, and heated seating for comfort during colder months. Additionally, the park offers a horse-riding area for children, an integrated recreational zone for families, and 45 designated sites for outdoor picnicking and cooking, utilizing natural materials. A dedicated 200,000-square-meter area showcases seasonal flowers, providing an educational experience about common flora in Najd Region. The municipality invites residents and visitors to enjoy the park's offerings, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing the quality of life and promoting natural spa ces.
