Al-jouf: Governor of Al-Jouf Region Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz affirmed that the continuation of Al-Jouf International Agricultural Forum in its third edition reflects the region’s commitment to contributing effectively to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and supporting the path of sustainable agricultural development.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the governor noted that this comes amid the strong support and attention the agricultural sector receives from the wise leadership, which contributes to strengthening food security and enhancing the competitiveness of the agricultural sector in the region. This was highlighted during the launch of the forum, which was attended by Vice Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture Eng. Mansour Al-Mushaiti, along with a number of experts, investors, and representatives of local and international companies in the agricultural sector.
During the event, the governor inaugurated the forum’s activities and launched the ‘Olive Laboratory,’ which serves as a significant addition in supporting research and technologies related to olive production and quality. This initiative aims to reinforce the region’s position as one of the Kingdom’s leading olive-producing areas.
More than 40 agricultural companies and projects from inside and outside the Kingdom are participating in the forum. The event seeks to promote agricultural sustainability and highlight major investment opportunities in Al-Jouf Region, recognized as one of the most important agricultural areas in the Middle East.
