Al-Baha Pomegranate Festival Wraps Up with Sales Surpassing 24 Tons

Al-baha: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture’s Al-Baha branch concluded the 14th Pomegranate Festival yesterday, attracting a large turnout of visitors, farmers, and agricultural enthusiasts.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the five-day festival featured participation from 75 pomegranate farmers across the region, alongside six families working in the cottage industry showcasing a variety of processed pomegranate products.

Several government agencies also contributed through awareness and guidance booths, reinforcing the festival’s objectives of supporting local agriculture and promoting Al-Baha Region’s unique products.

Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture’s branch in Al-Baha Fahad Al-Zahrani highlighted the remarkable success of this year’s festival, noting the high turnout, large number of visitors, and sales exceeding 24 tons of pomegranates.

At the conclusion of the event, distinguished farmers, participating entities, and sponsors were honored for their efforts and contributions to the festival’s success.

The event has established itself as an annual platform to highlight pomegranate production and honor the rich agricultural heritage of Al-Baha.
