Accra:The third edition of the AgentX AI Hackathon for Employment and Business Solutions has concluded in the Eastern Region. In collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the event awarded cash prizes to the top three teams for their innovative AI solutions aimed at addressing challenges in key sectors.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Team Sunbulah emerged victorious in the environmental sustainability and carbon emissions reduction track. Team SABBAQ won second place in the energy and industry track, and Team MIRSAD took third place in the logistics and ports track. A total of 30 projects participated in the hackathon.
The event aimed to harness Saudi talent to develop practical AI solutions that meet labor market demands. Participants were able to develop ideas, create prototypes of business solutions, engage with industry experts, and explore career opportunities in artificial intelligence.
Four tracks were featured in the hackathon energy and industry, logistics and ports, beneficiary experience and customer service, and environmental sustainability and carbon emissions reduction. These tracks allowed participants to focus on creating solutions to improve operational efficiency, enhance services, and promote sustainability.
The hackathon included a virtual training bootcamp, workshops, and mentoring sessions, culminating in an in-person phase where participants presented their final solutions. The program offered practical experience in AI application development, team collaboration, and transforming knowledge into scalable solutions.
This initiative is part of efforts to empower Saudi talent in AI solution development, strengthen employment opportunities, and build capabilities that support the growth of the digital economy, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
