AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 Committee Unveils ‘Ahlan’ App at LEAP 2026

Riyadh: The AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 Local Organizing Committee concluded its participation within the Ministry of Sport pavilion at LEAP 2026, showcasing its experience in utilizing technological solutions to enhance the fan journey-foremost among them the 'Ahlan' application.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Chief Commercial and Experience Officer at the Local Organizing Committee Khalid Khabti participated in a panel session where he presented the committee's vision for building an integrated digital experience that accompanies fans from their initial planning phase to their arrival in the Kingdom and entry into stadiums. Khabti noted that the current version of the 'Ahlan' app is a pilot version undergoing continuous development toward the fully integrated platform dedicated to the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027. He explained that the application initiated its pilot phase during the AFC Champions League Elite matches hosted by Jeddah this year, benefiting more than 330,000 users.

He highlighted that the application currently enables users to create personal profiles, select their favorite national teams, purchase match tickets, and stay updated on tournament news, match schedules, and results. Work is underway to expand its capabilities to include hotel bookings, visa applications, travel packages, and eSIM connectivity, as well as enhanced transportation and navigation services, with language support expanding to include Japanese and Chinese alongside Arabic and English.

The committee's participation in LEAP 2026 forms part of its ongoing preparations to host the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027, leveraging major international events and tournaments hosted by the Kingdom to test and refine its operational and technological solutions ahead of the championship.
