Jeddah: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC), in collaboration with the Local Organizing Committee for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027S, today unveiled the official visual identity of the 19th edition of the tournament, marking the one-year countdown to the Kingdom's hosting of Asia's premier football competition.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the visual identity reflects confidence, dynamism, and modernity, and is designed to inspire the next generation of players and fans across Asia. It combines Saudi Arabia's rich cultural heritage with the spirit of unity that defines Asian football.

AFC President Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa stated that the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 is a landmark event that blends the sophistication of football with cultural depth. The launch of the visual identity embodies the Kingdom's heritage and modernity, creating a tournament identity that will resonate widely across the continent and beyond.

The identity's centerpiece is the official logo, which integrates the iconic tournament trophy with terraced lines inspired by Salmani architecture, a style unique to Saudi Arabia. This structure, influenced by traditional motifs and Sadu weaving, represents balance and authentic Saudi culture while celebrating Asian grandeur.

Furthermore, the visual identity incorporates artistic patterns from Salmani architecture and traditional Saudi crafts, reflecting openness and hospitality. The trophy symbol has been adapted into a dynamic visual element for versatile branding, while a color palette inspired by Saudi landscapes adds modernity and distinction.

The branding emphasizes Saudi uniqueness, celebrating the host nation's authenticity and confidence. The logo aims to inspire generations across Asia by merging cultural heritage with the excitement of football.

The logo was unveiled during halftime of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026 final at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium in Jeddah, alongside a short film titled 'A Spark Over Asia.' The film symbolizes passion and unity, portraying a spark traveling through life and football before settling into the 'Saudi Arabia 2027' logo.

The AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 will take place in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Khobar from January 7 to February 5, 2027, featuring 24 Asian national teams competing for the continent's prestigious football title.
