Riyadh: Several experts emphasized that digital transformation is set to reshape cities by integrating smart technologies that promote resilience, sustainability, and inclusiveness.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this discussion took place during a panel session titled “Building Resilient and Inclusive Smart Cities: Promoting Digital Transformation for Sustainability, Innovation, and Quality of Life.” Adhering to the theme “City Partnerships for a Better Future,” the panel session was part of the Arab European Cities Dialogue, organized by the Riyadh Region Municipality.
The session centered on the transition to smart, sustainable cities and highlighted the importance of participatory governance and technical innovation. It emphasized the need to align digital initiatives with sustainability goals to address disparities in access and digital skills while ensuring that citizens are at the heart of these efforts.
