Mecca: As part of its preparations for the 1447 AH Hajj season and coinciding with the arrival of the first groups of pilgrims and visitors from outside Saudi Arabia, the National Center for Performance Measurement (Adaa) has begun its fieldwork to measure the journey of performing Hajj rituals for 1447 AH. This is achieved through methodologies, tools, and standards that improve the quality of government services for pilgrims and enhance their integration across all stages of the Hajj journey. The measurement is based on tracking the experiences of the pilgrim and visitor from the early stages of planning the trip, including obtaining permits and preparing for travel, through performing the rituals and moving between the holy sites, to departure after completing Hajj.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this year's measurement covers more than 79 services provided by 17 government entities, within a unified framework for measuring the pilgrim experience, ensuring accuracy and objectivity of results, and contributing to identifying areas for improvement and enhancing government performance efficiency. The center relies on a range of advanced tools in implementing measurement processes, including electronic surveys, field interviews, and the 'mystery pilgrim,' to monitor the actual experience of pilgrims at service delivery locations.
Director General of Adaa Eng. Rashed Al-Qaood noted that measuring the experience of pilgrims represents one of the key enablers for improving the quality of services provided during the Hajj journey, noting that the center works to provide precise indicators that support government entities in developing their services, contributing to achieving a smoother and more satisfactory experience.
He added that these efforts are an extension of the great attention given by the leadership to serving pilgrims and to mobilizing all capabilities to enhance their experience, reflecting Saudi Arabia's position, its leadership, and its extensive expertise in serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors. He stressed that the measurement results support decision-making and continuously improve the pilgrim journey, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
