Activists demonstrate in Babylon against amendments to the Personal Status Law

A number of members of civil society organizations and activists demonstrated in front of the Babylon Governorate building against amendments to the Iraqi Personal Status Law. A correspondent for /NINA/ said, "The demonstrators carried banners denouncing these amendments, which they considered offensive to the dignity of Iraqi women and aimed at dividing Iraqi society. He added that the demonstrators threatened to resort to the courts and competent judicial authorities to prevent its implementation. Source : National Iraqi News Agency
