Riyadh, Under the patronage of Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, the 41st Session of the General Assembly and 106th Meeting of the Executive Council of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) are scheduled to be hosted by the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) between December 8 and 15, it was reported today.

To mark the occasion, Mohammad bin Fahd Al-Harithi, CEO of SBA, welcomed, on behalf of Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s guests to the ASBU’s meetings of the General Assembly and Executive Council, noting that SBA has completed all preparations to host the occasion.

Al-Harithi added that hosting the events reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s role in leading the region through its inspiring vision, where SBA seeks to represent the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the media aspects, which are considered the main and complimentary element to realize aspirations for a bright future.

The CEO concluded his remarks by stressing that hosting this event with the participation of several leaders and experts in the media industry is part of the leadership of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s endeavors to support and encourage creative people and contribute to cognitive and vocational enrichment for all Arabs.

Meanwhile, the 80th meeting of the Permanent Committee for the Administrative, Financial and Legal Affairs is scheduled to be held between December 8 and 10, before holding the meeting of the Executive Council on December 11 and 12 and then holding the Ordinary Session of the General Assembly between December 13 and 15 with the participation of representatives of member states and Arab, regional and international specialized organizations.
