The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, headed by MP Abbas Al-Zamili, visited the Border Guard units in the sixth region.

A Committee statement stated that: "During the visit, a meeting took place with the Commander of the border guards, the sixth region, to see the progress of work in the separating strip and the security measures taken to secure the border strip between Iraq and Syria, within the sector of responsibility, and to follow up the affairs of the associates and listen to their demands and needs."
