A force of the Federal Police arrested today, Monday, a gang trading in antiquities in Baghdad.

The Ministry of the Interior said in a statement: “A force from the Seventh Brigade, the Second Division, Federal Police, backed by the intelligence detachments, managed to arrest a gang of 3 accused of trafficking in antiquities in (Yarmouk) region” and found in their possession "an artifact that is a painting dating back to ancient times, indicating that they were referred with the seized items to the competent authority to complete the legal procedures against them."
