Riyadh: A 4.7 magnitude earthquake struck the Solomon Islands in the Pacific Ocean today. The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the earthquake’s epicenter was located 96 kilometers from the Lata area of the islands, at a depth of 56 kilometers.

According to Saudi Press Agency, so far, no casualties or damage have been reported as a result of the earthquake.
