23 Projects Open for Feedback through ‘Istitlaa’ Platform

Riyadh: The National Competitiveness Center’s Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has introduced 23 projects focused on economic and development affairs. In collaboration with 14 government agencies, the center is soliciting feedback from the public, government entities, and the private sector on these projects before their official approval.

According to Saudi Press Agency, one of the key projects available for feedback is ‘Economic Policies of Civil Aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,’ initiated by the General Authority of Civil Aviation. This project aims to enhance competitiveness, improve operational efficiency and passenger experience, encourage investment, ensure fairness and transparency, create job opportunities, and align with best international practices and the strategic direction outlined in the National Aviation Strategy. The public can provide input on this project until April 12, 2025.

The General Authority for Competition has also opened a project titled ‘Guideline to Enhance Competition in the Food Delivery Platform Sector’ for public consultation. This initiative seeks to regulate the activities of food delivery platforms in line with the Competition Law, its executive regulations, and other relevant rules. Feedback for this project will be accepted until April 12, 2025.

Additionally, the Associations Support Fund is inviting feedback on the ‘Regulations of Association Support’ project. This project aims to ensure legislative governance of the fund’s services, maintaining legitimacy and covering all general provisions for its financial and non-financial services. Public consultation will conclude on April 13, 2025.

The National Water Efficiency and Conservation Center is requesting input on the ‘Regulations for Training Program Accreditation in the Field of Water Efficiency and Conservation.’ This project seeks to formalize the criteria and conditions for accrediting training programs related to water efficiency and conservation. Feedback can be submitted until April 15, 2025.

Moreover, the Capital Market Authority is seeking public feedback on the ‘Debt Instrument Platform Licensing and Regulatory Framework.’ This project intends to develop a regulatory framework for debt instrument offerings and investments, specifying licensing requirements to align with regulatory developments in the Kingdom. The consultation period for this project will end on April 23, 2025.

The Istitlaa platform’s introduction of draft regulations and by-laws signifies a commitment to transparency in the legislative process. It enables citizens, government agencies, and the private sector to actively participate by contributing insights and feedback on proposed regulations impacting the business environment.
