22nd Meeting of Arab Electronic Media Committee Commences at Arab League Headquarters

Cairo: The 22nd meeting of the Arab Electronic Media Committee began today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League, with the participation of representatives from ministries of media and relevant media authorities in Arab League member states. The meeting aims to address various issues related to the regulation and development of Arab electronic media and to enhance its security.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the agenda includes a review of the implementation of Resolution No. (566) of the Council of Arab Information Ministers. Key discussions will focus on the outcomes of a panel discussion concerning cybersecurity and strategies to strengthen Arab websites and digital platforms to safeguard them against hacking and cyberattacks.

Furthermore, the meeting will address the recommendations made by the working group assigned to monitor and study electronic games that depict violence or promote terrorism. The implications of these games on societal security in Arab countries will also be a topic of discussion.
