Manama, Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, the Minister of Information, held a number of bilateral meetings ahead of the meeting of the 54th session of the Arab Information Ministers' Council to be hosted by the Kingdom. The Information Minister met with Salman bin Yousif Al Dosari, the Minister of Media of Saudi Arabia; GCC Secretary General Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi; and Abdul Rahman Baddah Al Mutairi, the Minister of Information of Kuwait. The meetings discussed key topics on the agenda of the upcoming 54th session, emphasising joint coordination to implement the 33rd Arab Summit's resolutions and recommendations. Baghdad, The Gaza Health Ministry in Palestine announced the death of 20 civilians in a new massacre in the city of Rafah. The Rafah Emergency Committee stated: 'The occupation committed a new massacre in Rafah, which claimed the lives of more than 20 martyrs and dozens of wounded.' Hilla, The Babylon Police Command announced on Tuesday that it was able to arrest a gang of three people specialized in stealing motorcycles in Abu Gharq district, west of Hilla. Baghdad, The Intelligence and Security Detachments of the Ministry of Defense arrested three people wanted by the judiciary in Baghdad, one of them on terrorist charges and two on charges of trading and promoting narcotic substances. Arrest warrants were issued against them in accordance with the provisions of Articles (4 terrorism and 28 drugs). A statement by the Ministry of Defense stated, 'With careful field follow-up of organized crime gangs and narcotic poison dealers, the detachments of Muthanna Intelligence and Security Directorate, affiliated with the same directorate, arrested two narcotic drug dealers in accordance with the memorandums and provisions of Article (28 of drugs). Baghdad, The Minister of Health, Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi, participated today, Tuesday, in the World Summit of the General Assembly of the World Health Organization, the 77th session, held in Geneva, stressing Iraq's support for the Palestinian cause . The ministry stated in a statement, 'Al-Hasnawi affirmed in his speech at the conference Iraq's support for the Palestinian cause and its demand for a unified international position for an immediate ceasefire and the initiation of a global campaign to relieve the Gaza Strip,' noting that 'the first batch of wounded and sick Palestinians was received for treatment in Iraq based on the Prime Minister's directive, 'stressing readiness to receive other batches.' Al-Hasnawi pointed out, "The Iraqi government's program placed health among its priorities through a fair budget that contributed to providing medicines, medical supplies, and modern devices to health institutions with their various specializations. Primary health care in Iraq also receives great attention, in addition to programs for prevention, rehabilitation, treatment, and integration of qualified people into society in cooperation with the United Nations Against Crime and Drugs and the World Health Organization. Al-Hasnawi added, 'In cooperation with the World Health Organization, we were able to reduce the maternal mortality rate during the past twenty years by approximately 70% for mothers and 50% for children.'
