Riyadh: A total of 185 falcons competed yesterday on the festival's seventh day. They took part in six qualifying heats for local professional falconers in the Milwah Race at the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025. The festival is the world's largest gathering of falcons.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the event is organized by the Saudi Falcons Club at its headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, and is scheduled to run from December 25, 2025, to January 10, 2026. The festival attracts wide participation from both local and international falconers.

The festival features 139 rounds and offers 1,012 prizes with a total value exceeding SAR38 million. These are spread across two main competitions: the Milwah Race, which covers a distance of 400 meters, and the Mazayen Beauty Contest.

The Milwah Race includes categories for owners, amateurs, professionals, and elite competitors, with specific rounds for local falconers and others for international participants. The Mazayen Beauty Contest evaluates falcon beauty based on precise standards.
