Riyadh: 100 entrepreneurial projects representing 46 countries have qualified for the finals of the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) 2025 in Riyadh, as part of the Biban Forum, which will be held by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) from November 5 to 8, under the theme “Global Destination for Opportunities.”
According to Saudi Press Agency, the EWC is the largest global competition for entrepreneurs, organized by Monsha’at in cooperation with the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) and the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk). Participants will compete for cash prizes exceeding $1.5 million in an event that gathers entrepreneurs, investors, and international experts, highlighting the Kingdom’s growing status as a global hub for entrepreneurship and innovation.
The competition saw vast interest, receiving over 10,300 applicants from more than 169 countries. After multiple evaluation phases and a virtual training camp, the top 100 projects were selected for the finals.
Prominent participating countries include Saudi Arabia, the United States, Korea, Canada, Singapore, France, Brazil, and the United Kingdom.
The qualified companies cover vital sectors such as communications and information technology, health and social services, agriculture, industry, and space.
The competition offers global entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their ideas to investors and venture capital funds, and benefit from training, mentorship, and communication programs, enhancing their competitiveness and helping them achieve global growth. Hosting the EWC finals confirms the Kingdom’s pioneering role in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030’s goals to build a diversified and sustainable economy.
