SFDA and Weqaya Forge Partnership to Enhance Cooperation in Health Sector

Riyadh: The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has entered into a memorandum of cooperation with the Public Health Authority (Weqaya) to establish an institutional framework for the exchange of expertise and collaboration in areas of mutual interest. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Global Health Exhibition 2025 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center, which is being held under the theme ‘Invest in Health’ until October 30.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the signing ceremony saw the participation of SFDA’s CEO, Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, and Weqaya’s CEO, Dr. Abdullah Alquzayni. The memorandum seeks to bolster the collaborative efforts of both entities to align with national objectives outlined in the Health Sector Transformation Program, a significant component of the Saudi Vision 2030.

The partnership is expected to facilitate knowledge and expertise exchange between SFDA and Weqaya, contributing to the advancement of public health initiatives and ensuring the effective implementation of health-related policies in Saudi Arabia.
