Saudi Deputy Hajj and Umrah Minister Inspects Camps of African Non-Arab Countries’ Hajj Pilgrims

Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Abdulfattah bin Suleiman Mashat visited today the camps of the Company of Mutawifs for Pilgrims from African Non-Arab Countries in Arafat.

During his visit, Dr. Mashat inspected the new camps established by the company and its preparations to serve the pilgrims during the Hajj season of the year 1444 AH.

Dr. Mashat listened to an explanation by the Chairman of the Company of Mutawifs for Pilgrims from African Non-Arab Countries, Mr. Ahmad Sindi, around the development of the camps in Arafat in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 to improve the quality of life.

The development of the camps also aims at enabling the pilgrims to perform their religious duty of Hajj with comfort, safety and reassurance, Sindi explained.

He added that work has been done to provide all security and safety requirements for the pilgrims in accordance with the civil defense standards.

Meanwhile, an explanation was provided around the camp, which stretches over 230,000 square meters and accommodates up to 190,000 pilgrims.

The company’s CEO noted that the new tents are established with international standards, insulate light, temperature and water. They also fire resistant and ultraviolet-protective with tents being connected to a special cooling system.
