Saudi-American Relations have Strongly Grown Since Many Years Ago, Saudi Press Report

Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Saudi-American relations have strongly grown since many years ago, as the two countries were keen to develop them in many various fields of common interests.
The two countries have common issues such as counter-terrorism, energy, security, trade, education and cultural exchange, the editorial said.
In this regard, the telephone call received by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz from US President Joseph R. Biden last Wednesday came within the framework of joint coordination between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States in all fields, especially with regard to strengthening security cooperation in combating terrorism and its financing, the editorial further said.
Saudi Arabia has unprecedented global experience in combating terrorism, which effectively contributed to thwarting many terrorist acts around the world, the editorial added.
The United States’ commitment to support Saudi Arabia in defense of its lands and citizens and providing it with defensive needs to maintain its security and stability has reaffirmed such strong relations, especially with regard to preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and the need to work together to counter the destabilizing activities of Iran’s proxies in the region, the editorial went on to say.
During the telephone conversation, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques stressed his keenness to reach a comprehensive political solution in Yemen, in addition to achieving the security and development for the Yemeni people and bringing peace there on the basis of the three references, the editorial concluded.
Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) reported that the real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia grew by 6.8% in Q4 of 2021 .
Such positive growth was due to the high increase in oil activities and non-oil activities with higher rates in comprehensive and sustainable development, the paper said.
So, great steps have been made in the pillars of a sustainable economy and the advanced comprehensive development by activating the efficiency of sectors, maximizing their resources and their added value, in addition to entering new sectors with blue chip projects aimed at prosperity, along with ambitious strategies to increase and attract investments in all the components of the economy, the paper added.
