Seoul, The Republic of Korea's daily new coronavirus cases stayed in the 600s for the second consecutive day on Sunday, Yonhap reported.

The country reported 610 more COVID-19 cases, including 572 local infections, raising the total caseload to 131,671, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) said.

Daily infections fell from 681 on Saturday after posting more than 700 cases on Thursday and Friday as sporadic cluster infections continued nationwide.

There were four additional virus deaths, raising the total to 1,900. The fatality rate was 1.44 percent.

Riyadh, The Official Spokesman of the Ministry of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulali pointed out that the curve of confirmed cases in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is passing through a stage of constancy and that the trend of the epidemic curve is in downturn, coupling with the continuous up taking of vaccines and adherence to preventive measures, reaffirming the ongoing follow up for the critical cases of the Coronavirus infections and stressing the importance of abidance by the fixed numbers in meetings and other functions.

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health warned here today against negligence in applying precautionary measures, during Eid Al-Fitr holiday, announcing detecting 927 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, during the last 24-hour.

On the other hand, 1,608 recoveries have been reported against as many as 8,551 active cases, including as many as 1323 cases, in critical conditions.

Statistics of the ministry pointed out that the overall tally of infections in the Kingdom stood at 431,432 cases against total 415,747 recoveries. However, 12 deaths were reported, bringing the death toll to 7,134, across the Kingdom, which have conducted 56,495 lab tests.
