Olympic Committee to Launch a Program Contributes to Sports Sector Development, Says Minister of Sports

Jeddah, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, President of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, and Head of the Saudi delegation in Tokyo Olympics, extended his congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense on the occasion of the achievement of Saudis sports that has been absent for 9 years, represented by Saudi Karate national team player wining the silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

After arriving in Jeddah the Minister said in a statement that winning Olympic medals requires psychological and physical preparation for a period ranging between 4 to8 years. He added that during the coming period the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, with the support of the leadership, will launch a program that will contribute to the development of the sports sector in Saudi Arabia.
