OIC Secretary General highlights monarch’s speech at W20 engagement group

Jeddah, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen confirmed that women have enjoyed great interest during the current Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s presidency of the G20, citing that Women Engagement Group (W20), an affiliate of the G20, has issued important recommendations to ensure the participation of women in decision-making.
Al-Othaimeen said that the speech the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosque King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has delivered at the closing session of G20 women outreach group has drawn a road map to shape social reforms through empowering women and activating their role in leading society changes.
He noted that the monarch was fair in addressing women rights as he called for overcoming challenges facing women through offering them chances of advanced training and better skills to cope with labor market requirements and implement economic and social programs that achieve fairness among the two genders.
