Making Use of Technology, Among Key Goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, Saudi Press Report

Riyadh, Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.

Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that making use of technology in various sectors and fields was among key goals of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.

Such unprecedented step effectively contributed to upgrade public services and improve the performance of all state agencies in Saudi Arabia, the paper said.

During COVID-19 pandemic, of which the entire world is still suffering, Saudi Arabia was among the first countries in making use of technology with all various services and applications, the paper added.

In this regard, Saudi Arabia has climbed 23 ranks as the best progressing country in the field of digital government, according to the 16th edition of the World Digital Government Rankings Survey 2021 on digital government, the paper further added.

According to the most recent survey of the 64-country index, issued by the Institute of digital government at Japan's Waseda University in cooperation with the International Academy of CIO (IAC) since 2005, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranked 30th in the general index and 11th among the countries of the Group of Twenty, the paper concluded.
