Kuwait welcomes UN Security Council Statement condemning Houthi militia attacks on Saudi Arabia

Kuwait, The State of Kuwait welcomed today the statement issued by the UN Security Council condemning the Houthi militia’s attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s territories and civilian facilities.

In a statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this statement confirms the council’s sense of the threat being posed by Houthi practices to the security and stability of the region and its states and multiplying the human suffering of the Yemeni people.

The statement also confirms the importance that the Council attaches to the Yemen crisis and the need to reach a political solution to it and pushes the Houthi militia to positively interact with the efforts being made by the international community, including the relentless efforts and initiatives of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to reach a comprehensive and desired political solution to the Yemeni crisis.

The ministry expressed sincere thanks to the member states of the Security Council for assuming their responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security and for their support to end the Yemeni crisis.
