Kuwait strongly condemns continued attempts of Houthi militia to threaten Saudi Arabia security

Kuwait, The State of Kuwait today expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Houthi militia’s continued attempts to threaten the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by targeting the city of Jazan with a bomb-laden drone and threatening maritime navigation and international trade in the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the southern Red Sea with two booby-trapped boats.

In a statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that the continuation of these aggressive practices and escalation targeting civilians and civilian areas, the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the stability of the region, and threatening maritime navigation and global trade constitutes a flagrant violation of the rules of international and humanitarian law and requires the international community to act quickly and decisively to deter these threats and hold the perpetrators accountable.

The statement affirmed the State of Kuwait’s full support for the Kingdom in all the measures it takes to preserve its security, stability and sovereignty.
