Riyadh-- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), in cooperation with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), will host next Thursday the launch of the Global Humanitarian Overview Report (GHO) 2023, in cooperation with King Saud University, and with the participation of the European Union.

The Report is issued annually by the UN OCHA, to highlight humanitarian needs and the resources needed to respond to them and to communicate the voices of affected people, especially women and girls. The Overview Report is a global plan to engage decision-makers and humanitarian actors in highlighting major issues and urgent priorities, raising public awareness, and encouraging UN partners to contribute more to humanitarian operations.

The Report has been previously launched in major international cities such as London, New York, Stockholm, Geneva, Brussels, and Washington. This year it will be launched in three cities; Riyadh, Geneva, and Addis Ababa, the first time to be launched and hosted in the Middle East region.
