KSrelief Continues Implementing Voluntary Medical Program in Sudan

Khartoum, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), in partnership with Muslim World League, has continued implementing the voluntary medical program for oral and maxillofacial surgery at Khartoum Teaching Dental Hospital (KTDH).

During the past two days, medical volunteers performed 12 surgeries for the face, mouth and jaws, 5 cleft lip surgeries, and one bone graft surgery.

The seven-day program aims at performing a total of 100 surgeries free of charge in Khartoum and other regions for brain tumor, maxillofacial fractures due to accidents and injuries and cleft lip repair.

In a statement, Mahjoub Menoufeli, Khartoum state Ministry of Health Director, appreciated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's humanitarian and relief assistance for the people of Sudan and for KSrelief's support to his country's health sector.

The medical program is part of KSrelief's voluntary programs carried out in a number of countries around the world with the aim of providing the necessary medical support to low-income families who cannot cover the costs of treatment.
