Iranian Parliament: A Saudi Delegation Participates In The Swearing-In Ceremony For The New Iranian President

Baghdad The Iranian Islamic Shura Council, “Parliament” revealed that: “A Saudi delegation will participate in the swearing-in ceremony of the new Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi.”

According to the website of the Young Correspondents Club of the Iranian Radio and Television Corporation, a well-informed source in the Islamic Consultative Assembly stated that a delegation from Saudi Arabia will participate in the swearing-in ceremony of the new Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi.

It is noteworthy that diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia were severed in January 2016, but in recent weeks there have been reports of talks between the two countries at various levels and the possibility of Saudi officials attending the inauguration ceremony of the new Iranian president.

The swearing-in ceremony will take place this afternoon with the participation of 115 officials from 73 countries, including 10 heads of state.”

A spokesman for the presidential body in the Iranian parliament, Nizamuddin Mousavi, said: 73 countries announced their readiness to participate in the ceremony of performing the constitutional oath of the elected president, Ibrahim Raisi.

Mousavi added that: 115 official officials from 73 countries in the world have announced their readiness so far to participate in the swearing-in ceremony for the elected president, explaining that 10 heads of state, 20 parliament speakers, 11 foreign ministers, 10 other ministers, representatives of prime ministers, and deputy heads of parliaments will attend the inauguration ceremony.

He explained: Officials of 11 international and regional organizations, the delegate of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of OPEC, and officials from the “IPU”, the European Union, Eurasia, the Association of Parliaments of Islamic and Asian Countries, “ECO”, “SICA” and D8 will also participate in the inauguration ceremony.
